Grade 2 Language Arts: Bold Beginnings and Descriptive Words

Kaela Baudu and I taught Language Arts for our first two lessons in pre-intership. The first lesson was about how to make sure you have a bold beginning to your story so that your reader would want to read it. In a brainstorming session, the students identified that the time and setting must be described in the first sentence of the story for it to be a bold beginning. The second lesson built off the idea of bold beginnings and we worked on adding descriptive words to the bold beginnings.
